Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in 1980. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) who is a nurse, and Tom Bell, a television news director. She is the daughter of a Polish and her father German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen discovered a passion for the arts at a young stage. When she was in 1992, she was the first to go to an audition. She was given an appearance of Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell's mother signed her up with an agency before her 13th birthday. She then appeared in television advertisements as well as newspaper ads. In the same year Bell also started training in private acting. Bell had a role that was not credited of Polish Wedding (1998), an upcoming film. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was a member of the music club as well as the drama club. She won the starring role as Dorothy in her high school's play The Wizard of Oz. Bell was a student of music theatre in the world-renowned Tisch School of the Arts located in New York City after graduating. Bell completed her studies in 2001, left her university studies to perform the role Becky on Tom Sawyer. That same year, she was in Pootie Tang however, the scene where she made an appearance was cut. As a result, the credit sequence is all that exists. Bell made an appearance alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson, and the Broadway production of The Crucible in 2002.
